(WTVR) – Slooh is attempting to live stream today’s “Near-Earth Asteroid ” 2014 DX110 as it passes by Earth. The live stream begins at 4 p.m.

“With a current orbit uncertainty rating of 7 coupled with its small size, location, and incredible rate of motion, there is a high probability we will not capture the asteroid during the broadcast,” Slooh warned. “But given its proximity to Earth and timing with the CU13 broadcast, we wanted to try to image it for the public during its close-approach.”

This asteroid, 2014 DX110, is estimated to be about 100 feet (30 meters) across. Its closest approach to Earth will be at about 217,000 miles (about 350,000 kilometers) from Earth at about 4 p.m. on March 5.

The average distance between Earth and its moon is about 239,000 miles (385,000 kilometers).
