3 Chesterfield men arrested for assault, robbery near VCU

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR)–Three Chesterfield males have been arrested for a robbery that occurred earlier this month on West Grace Street.

At approximately 12:25 a.m. Friday, February 7, three men assaulted and robbed a victim in the 800 block of West Grace Street.

Just after midnight this past Sunday, VCU Police spotted two individuals matching the suspect descriptions and detained them for questioning. They soon identified the men as suspects in the robbery.

Arrested were Ronald L. Banks, Jr., 18, of the 4800 block of Newbys Mill Terrace and Marvin M. McClelland, 19, of the 1000 block of Pineville Road. They have been charged with robbery.

Richmond Police detectives interviewed the suspects and were able to identify the third male involved in the incident, a 17-year-old juvenile male.

Officers located and arrested him today.
