SkyTracker cams show snowstorm slam Central Virginia

Posted

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) --  Our CBS 6 SkyTracker cameras captured the winter weather blowing through Central Virginia Wednesday afternoon into Thursday morning.

The cameras show similar winter conditions from our Broad Street studios in Richmond's Museum District. The Millionaire camera shows the show blowing through as a flurry of activity took place at Richmond International Airport. And our Randolph-Macon cam shows  the snow turn to sleet overnight in Ashland.

And we're not done yet. After a lull of precipitation mid-day, another round of snowfall is slated in Richmond between 3 p.m. and 10 p.m.

However, CBS 6 Storm Team Meteorologist Carrie Rose said this snowfall will not be as heavy as last night. But it will be wet and accumulating on top of the snow and ice already on the ground.

Click here for our hour-by-hour breakdown of when the snow will fall.
