MERTON, Wisc. (WITI) — Richmond native Russell Wilson has invited an 8-year-old leukemia survivor to the attend the Super Bowl.

Wilson, the star quarterback for the Super Bowl-bound Seattle Seahawks, called Brayden Ramus, a Make-a-Wish recipient from Merton, Wisc., personally on Sunday to offer up four tickets to the big game.

This comes after the boy's family said his wildest dreams were exceeded after the family flew to Washington to meet Wilson, a former Wisconsin Badgers player, in December.

During that trip, Brayden delivered the game ball at CenturyLink Field in Seattle on Dec. 2.

“To say unbelievable doesn’t even quantify what it was,”Brayden’s mom, Michelle Ramus, told WITI. “He had a smile, literally, from ear to ear the whole time.”

Additionally, the young leukemia survivor got to take pictures with Wilson and the entire Seahawks team. Brayden’s favorite moment, however, came when Wilson invited the boy to accompany him off the field.

“I had no idea I was going to go into the locker room,” said Brayden, who brought home six footballs, two pairs of gloves, Wilson’s shoes and countless autographs after the trip.

Seven years ago, Wilson was a high school quarterback at the Collegiate School, a private school in Henrico’s West Ends. [CLICK HERE to see photos of Wilson as a Collegiate Cougar.]
