GLOUCESTER, Va. (WTVR) -- Loved ones gathered Saturday to remember the loss of three young boys and their grandmother in a fire a year ago.

It was January 2013 when the family's house caught fire, killing 7-year-old Thomas, 2-year-old Michael and 6-month-old Gabriel Grogan.

The boys' grandmother, Virginia Grogan, went back in the burning home to try to save the boys, but she also died inside.

The parents of Thomas, Michael and Gabriel survived.

The community remembered the loss of the children and their grandmother by releasing balloons with their names written on them.
