Game of Thrones Season 4 premiere date announced

The launch date of Game of Thrones season four was finally announced late Thursday.

Fan now have a premiere of April 6, at  9 p.m., to look forward to eagerly.

George R.R. Martin, author of the A Song of Ice and Fire series, wrote on his blog that season four will be mostly based on the second half of A Storm of Swords, the third book in the series.

Although, “some material may be added from the fourth and fifth books, which run concurrently alongside the end of the third book and each other,” Martin wrote. 

The first trailer will air this Sunday, January 12, at 8:58 p.m. ET, on HBO, before True Detective.
