Adopt Haiti Project is sponsoring "Remembering Haiti Forum" is Saturday, January 11, 5pm at the SunTrust Building, 919 East Main Street, Richmond. It event is an annual forum to commemorate the progress that Haiti has made since the 2010 Earthquake. The forum features Haitian Speaker Cleve Mesidor, a former Obama Administration Presidential Appointee as well as other speakers and information. Jersey Boys is the story of Frankie Valli & The Four Season: it's a look into how a group of blue-collar Jersey boys from the wrong side of the tracks became of one of the biggest American Pop music sensations of all time. They wrote all their songs, invented their own sounds and sold over 175 Million records world-wide, and they did it all before they were thirty. The Latin Ballet of Virginia celebrates its 14th Anniversary of performing The Legend of the Poinsettia. The story is based on the Mexican legend about a young girl who discovers the true spirit of giving. Because little Maria is poor and can't offer a material gift, she picks a handful of weeds that magically turns into crimson flowers and so the legend was born of giving Poinsettias during the holidays. Performances are Thursday through Sunday, 10:30 am & 7:30pm Thursday & Friday; 3pm & 7:30pm Saturday and 3pm Sunday at the Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen.
