Albemarle car fire accident kills one, injures two

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WTVR)- Albemarle County Police are investigating a fatal car accident, early Sunday morning.

According to police, crews responded to a call at 3:17a.m, in the 2900 block of Thomas Jefferson Pkwy of a two vehicle crash.

When crews arrived they found both vehicles on fire.

One person is deceased, and two others were taken to UVA Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.

The identity of the deceased is currently not being released at this time.
