Police hunt for suspect after fatal Richmond shooting

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR)-- Police searching for suspect after a reported shooting in the 2400 block of 3rd Avenue, in Highland Park.

The shooting happened after 9:30 p.m. Wednesday. Two males were shot and transported to VCU Medical, Richmond Police confirmed. One person died at the hospital and the other victim is expected to survive, confirmed Lieutenant Don Davenport.

Scanner traffic indicates that the police have a detailed suspect descriptions and are actively involved in searching for any suspect (s) at this time. Police ask the public to contact them at Crimestoppers with info, at 780-1000.
