RICHMOND, Va (WTVR) - Despite the less than pleasant weather on Saturday, excited runners still joined in on the CarMax 'Tacky Light Run.'
Richmond has become well-known for its tacky lights tour during the holidays and now the tradition expands with the Tacky Light Run in Midlothian. Organizers highly encourage wearing your ugliest Christmas sweater.
CBS 6 sponsored the 6 kilometer run, which weaved through rows of houses draped with overzealous displays of holiday cheer in the Walton Park neighborhood.
This was the first year of the event, and organizers hope to continue it until it becomes an annual tradition.
