LYNCHBURG, Va. (WTVR) - While Lynchburg Police have not found any indication of foul play, investigators have classified the disappearance of 18-year-old Jamisha Gilbert as suspicious. Last seen on Friday, Gilbert's parents reported her missing Sunday.

Police have found no link between Gilbert's disappearance and that of Alexis Murphy, according to Lynchburg Police Lt. Dave Gearhart. Murphy, who was last seen in August, disappeared from Lovingston, Virginia. Lovingston and Lynchburg are separated by about 30 miles .

Gilbert's family says her car was involved in some type of accident on Concord Turnpike. Police didn't think much about it at first, but that changed when Gilbert's family reported her missing Sunday night.

Gilbert graduated from Heritage High School in 2013. She lived with her family. Heritage High School classmates are using the "#FindJamishaGilbert" on Twitter to talk about her disappearance.

Gilbert’s disappearance is being investigated by the Lynchburg Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division. Anyone with information is asked to call the Lynchburg Police Department at 434-455-4090.
