The 30th annual Dominion Christmas Parade will step off from the Science Museum on Saturday, December 7 starting at 10am. The parade will continue east to 7th Street, this year's Grand Marshall is the Harlem Globe Trotters, with all the favorites holiday floats, marching bands, huge helium balloons and of course Santa. You can experience the parade in person, watch it live on www.WTVR.com from 10am to noon  or see it on Christmas Day.

The Rotary Club of West End in partnership with The Dominion Christmas Parade and the Richmond Flying Squirrels has created Nutzy's Rotary Funn Run, a fun family oriented race, Saturday, December 7, starting at 8am. Competitive runners are encouraged to participate as well as the Stroller Division. Advance registration: Adult runners, walkers & Strollers $35, Youth $15. Also join Nutzy and his friends from the Rotary Funn Run on Friday, December 6th from 4-8pm to ring in the holidays at Nutzy’s Winter Funn Fest! Hollywood Costume, display at the Virginia Museum Of Fine Arts through February 17, the exhibition celebrates the role of costume design in nearly a century of American cinema and is the only East Coast Venue showing the iconic costumes. This is a Once in a lifetime opportunity to see clothes worn by beloved characters in films like The Wizard of Oz, The Birds, My Fair Lady, Spiderman, Titanic, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince and The Dark Knight Rises and dozens more. The museum will also feature 60 Films/60 Days, a movie a day extravaganza from November 29 through January 31, presenting 60 movie titles featuring costumes from Hollywood Costume. Virginia Repertory Theatre "Twas the Night Before Christmas" opens Friday, November 29 through December 29 at the Children's Theatre of Virginia at Willow Lawn, 1601 Willow Lawn Drive performances at 7pm on Fridays, 10:30am on Saturdays, and 2pm on Sundays and select weekday matinees at 10:30am and Sundays at 7pm. 36th annual Model Railroad Show takes place at the Science Museum of Virginia Friday Nov. 29, through Sunday, Dec. 1. See model train layouts, tour the museum’s RF&P Car ONE and check out the 1918 Bocock Streetcar. Plus, you can watch blacksmith demonstrations and visit with a pair of Clydesdales, reminiscent of the horses that moved supplies before trains existed, from noon to 3 p.m. on all three days. Included with exhibit admission.
