RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR)–You don’t have to be the next Debi Thomas, Nancy Kerrigan or Michelle Kwan to enjoy RVA on Ice.

The ice ring just kicked off its fourth season and will run through January 20, 2014. It could be one of the few things about cold weather worth enjoying. Besides, if Nutzy enjoys it this much, then isn’t it worth a shot?!

LOCATION

The outdoor facility is located at the corner of 6th and Broad Streets. The entrance to RVA On Ice, skate rental desk and the ticket box office are located 600 East Grace Street, at Richmond CenterStage.

COST

Visitors can pay a small entry fee and also rent skates, or even rent out the facility for a private party.

General admission to the rink is $5.00. Children 10 and under can enter for free. RVA On Ice offers discounted rates for Seniors and Military: Senior rate (60 and up with ID) is $4.00 and a Military rate (with ID) is $4.00.

Skate rental costs $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children 10 and under. You are welcome to bring your own skates and just pay the admission fee.

Cash and all major credit cards are accepted. If you think you’re going to visit more than four times, consider buying the $20 season pass.

A snack shack boasts yummies like hot chocolate, coffee, ingredients for s’mores and other snacks.

PARKING

Throughout the RVA On Ice season, street parking is available as well as paid parking in 7th Street and Marshall Street Lot, 5th Street and Broad Street lot, 5th Street and Marshall Deck (Behind Marriott Hotel); fees vary. See the map below, which also includes locations to restaurants mentioned in the next section.
