Special ed. teacher caught with heroin at school pleads guilty

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) -- The Swift Creek Elementary School teacher police was busted with heroin at school pleaded guilty Thursday.

Special education teacher Jessica Young, 35, faced possession charges after Chesterfield police found a personal amount of the drug and a syringe in her purse and car in mid-January.

A Chesterfield schools spokesperson said because of the severity of the charges, Young was immediately removed from her position at the school.

Young will be sentenced in March.
