CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va (WTVR) -- Virginia's General Election is only one week away.  But today is the deadline for those looking to submit an application for absentee voting through the mail.  You have until 5:00 p.m, at which time the ballot must be in your assigned registrars office.  You can drop it off or fax it in.  And the last day to vote absentee in-person is Saturday, November 2, at 5:00 p.m.

Virginia law requires a reason to vote absentee. There are various reasons voters can cast a ballot early.  Who can vote by absentee ballot?
