Police investigate 2 Henrico shootings

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) - Henrico Police are investigating a shooting at White Oak Apartments. Police said a man was shot in the breezeway of an apartment at the 11 North at White Oak Apartments complex off Laburnum Avenue around 10 p.m. Tuesday.

The victim, a 24-year-old man, was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said. Police have not identified a shooting suspect. White Oak Apartments used to be known as Seven Gables.

A second shooting was reported about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday. This one happened along the 10 block of N. Mapleleaf Ave..

A 48-year-old man suffered a "non-life threatening wound to his leg after he was shot by an adult male acquaintance," police said in an email.

At this time police do not believe the two shootings are related, police said.
