ORLANDO, Fla. (WTVR) -- A recent flight from Virginia to Florida may have been a practice run for terrorists planning an attack, according toWTSP in Tampa.
The station reports a memo sent to pilots from the U.S. Airline Pilots Association said several recent cases appear to be dry-runs, to test a flight crews' reaction to an inflight threat.
In fact, the memo stated the most recent attempt occurred on on Sept. 2 when a group of Middle Eastern men boarded a flight at Reagan National Airport and made a scene by distracting the flight crew.
WTSP reached out to TSA official, who confirmed the incident, but said the matter did not require any further investigation.
A Florida congressman has since called for an investigation into the incident.
