CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. (WTVR) -- A Virginia woman recently received a surprise gift from beyond the grave.
When Matilda Shumate checked her mail Thursday, she discovered a present from her brother who died a year ago.
Shumate believes he actually sent the package, which contained a new keyboard, seven years ago.
“It hurt because it was the last gift he ever gave anyone -- and I wasn't able to say thank you...,” Shumate said.
Schumate thinks her rural Christiansburg address may be to blame for why the post office lost the package.
