RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – It’s not a debate, it’s a conversation, but they won’t be talking to each other.

Virginia gubernatorial candidates Ken Cuccinelli and Terry McAuliffe will hold separate conversations with University of Richmond President Ed Ayers at an Oct. 10 event at The Modlin Center’s Alice Jepson Theatre.

Ayers will spend 30 minutes with each candidate, beginning at 7 p.m., according to a university new release.

“Questions will be based on this year’s Scholars’ theme: ‘Creating the next generation of engaged citizens.’ Each candidate will be asked the same questions, and they will have time prior to the event to prepare their responses,” the university advised.
