CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WTVR)--A 23-year-old Chesterfield mother faces charges for recklessly driving her two small children in her car while evading police.
Tiffany Chaniece Bond was arrested on September 5, after police say she was discovered in a business parking lot at the intersection of Route 10 and Courthouse Road, with her one and three-year-old children inside her car.
Chesterfield County Police say Bond hit a Dodge Neon on Route 288, while driving her Lexus, but continued driving eastbound without stopping.
While Virginia State Police investigated the accident, Chesterfield County Police say they spotted Bond driving recklessly and initiated a traffic stop.
They say Bond continued to evade police until she was arrested in the parking lot a short time later.
Bond has been charged with four felony counts of child abuse and endangerment, felony hit and run, felony evading police and several traffic infractions including reckless driving and driving with improper license plates and insurance.
