If it’s big screen heat “Fifty Shades of Grey” fans want, Charlie Hunnam plans to deliver.

The 33-year-old “Sons of Anarchy” star told press at the “SOA” premiere event this weekend that he has definite chemistry with co-star Dakota Johnson — and that he has no qualms about doing any sexy scenes.

In fact, it was his ability to connect with Johnson that made Hunnam decide he wanted to portray author E.L. James’ handsome, wealthy and seductive Christian Grey.

“As soon as we got in the room and started reading with Dakota, I knew that I definitely wanted to do it, because there was a tangible chemistry between us,” Hunnam said.

Given that “Fifty Shades” is based on James’ erotic novel about an inexperienced college student named Anastasia Steele (Johnson) who gets an education at the hands of billionaire Grey, both actors should expect to have steamy scenes. (If screenwriter Kelly Marcel gets her way, this could wind up being NC-17.)

But, Hunnam pointed out, it’s not like he’s never done explicit work on camera before.

“I went and read the first book to get a clearer idea of who this character was and felt even more excited about the prospect of bringing him to life,” the actor said. “My first job was on a Channel 4 miniseries called ‘Queer as Folk.’ (There were) incredibly explicit sexual scenes with a man. … If I could do it when I was 18 with a guy, I can certainly do it at 33 with a lady.”
