Police arrest wanted Richmond man

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - After surrounding a South Richmond home Tuesday night, Richmond Police realized the person they were looking for was not inside.

Police later arrested the "wanted man" near the intersection of Walmsley Boulevard and Broad Rock Road. Police have not yet released the man's name nor what he was accused of doing.

Earlier in the evening, police surrounded a home along the 5600 block of Limestone Drive off Hull Street Road and urged the wanted man to come out peacefully. The man was not inside the home at the time. He was arrested several blocks from the home.

The situation, which began around 5 p.m., ended about 6:30 p.m.
