WASHINGTON D.C. (WTVR) — If you plan on heading to President Barack Obama’s speech on the 50th Anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s speech, be sure to give yourself plenty of time for the commute.
According to the website for the official anniversary for the March on Washington, the best way to attend the event will be via the metro. And due to increased security concerns, road closures and park closures will go into effect early Wednesday morning.
The official “Let Freedom Ring Commemoration and Call to action Ceremony” will begin at 11 a.m. and continue until 4 p.m.
Other featured speakers include President Bill Clinton and President Jimmy Carter.
