Lumber Liquidators to add distribution center in Henrico County

Posted

TOANO, Va., (WTVR) — Lumber Liquidators has announced plans to build a new distribution center in Henrico County.

Lumber Liquidators has agreed to buy 110 acres of land in the White Oak Technology Park to build a 1.0 million square foot distribution center, according to a company news release.

The move is part of the company’s plan to consolidate its East Coast supply chain operations, which means Lumber Liquidators distribution centers in Hampton, Virginia, will be phased out by the end of 2014 and folded into the new complex.

Additionally, the company plans to lease a new West Coast distribution center in Pomona, California.

“The consolidation of our East Coast distribution facilities into a new, larger location and the opening of a West Coast distribution center will ensure we can support the tremendous growth of our business and improve service to our expanding customer base,” said Lumber Liquidators President and CEO Robert Lynch.
