Richmond police investigate deadly home invasion

RICHMOND, Va (WTVR) -- A series of weekend shootings have police fanning out across Richmond.

The most recent report, is from the Southside in the 1700 block of Clarkson Road. That's where police said a person was shot Sunday morning.

Police found 40-year-old Victor Amilcar Soriano of Chesterfield suffering from an apparent gun shot wound.

Soriano was taken to VCU Medical Center where he died.

Detectives believe Soriano was shot during a home invasion robbery in which a struggle ensued and shots were fired.

The suspects are described as:

1. Suspect 1: A dark-skinned black male, between 20 and 25 years old, 5’9” to 5’10” and weighing between 160 and 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing all black clothing and a mask.
2. Suspect 2: A black male between 20 and 25 years old, 5’9” to 5’10” and weighing between 160 and 180 pounds who was last seen wearing all dark clothing.
