(CNN) – Coca-Cola rolled out a new ad campaign aimed at quieting concerns over artificial sweeteners in its drinks.

The ad is part of Coke’s — “Coming Together” — campaign to fight obesity in America.

It says, in part, “the safety of aspartame is supported by more than 200 studies over the last 40 years.”

The FDA has deemed aspartame safe for human consumption.

It recommends ingesting no more than 50 milligrams of aspartame per kilogram of body weight every day.

That amounts to 22 cans of diet soda for a 175-pound man and 15 cans for a 120-pound woman.
