PRINCE GEORGE, Va. (WTVR) — Authorities said a fox attacked two people at a mobile home park in Prince George over the weekend.

Prince George County Animal Services said the attack happened Sunday around 6 p.m. at the Red Hill Trailer Park.

That’s where police were dispatched after receiving a call that a red fox was acting aggressively.

By the time officers arrived, the animal had bit one victim and scratched the other on the calf as he was riding by on a bike.

Officers, who were able euthanize the fox, took the animal to the state lab for rabies testing.

Animal Services reminds folks not to approach animals acting strangely, but to call police. It’s also a good idea to make sure pets are up to date on their rabies vaccinations.
