CLEVELAND COUNTY, N.C. (WTVR) — Strong winds at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds in North Carolina canceled the kickoff of a series of Christian music concerts.

Concert officials believe strong winds caused the stage to give way on Saturday afternoon.

More than 10,000 people were expected at the American Legion World Series concerts. Groups MercyMe, Aaron Shust and the Afters had been scheduled to perform.

No one was injured.
