(WTVR)– The Tuckahoe Little League 12-year-old All-Stars is playing like a team that wants to add to the organization’s rich history.

The team beat South Carolina 12 - 6 Wednesday night in Georgia thanks, in part, to a grand slam by Connor Schnupp.

With the win, the team advances to take on South Nashville in the regional final. That game is to be played Friday night at 7 p.m on ESPN. Should the Little League All-Stars win Friday, the team will advance to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pa.

According to the Tuckahoe Little League website, the league made the Little League World Series finals in 1968, 1976 and 1993.

Wednesday's game was broadcast on ESPN 2. Players' parents and fans flocked to the sports bar Glory Days Grill in the West End to watch the win.
