CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WTVR) – The family of the murdered Yeardely Love dropped a lawsuit against the university, court documents reveal.
Love was a student at University of Virginia, and a lacrosse player. The family had asked for $30 million dollars from UVa. for negligence that resulted in Love’s 2010 death.
Last year, a jury found George Huguely, Love’s ex-boyfriend and former men’s lacrosse player, guilty of second-degree murder.
The family’s civil suit against Huguely is still moving forward.
