(WTVR) – Actor Kick Cameron claims Facebook has banned him from promoting his new movie on the social media site. He says Facebook blocked him from posting links to his new movie because others have labeled it “abusive, unsafe and “spammy.”

Cameron, who rose to fame in the 1980s playing Mike Seaver in the sitcom Growing Pains, has gone on to make faith-based movies.

“This is my most personal film about faith, hope, and love, and about why God allows bad things to happen to good people. What is “abusive” or “unsafe” about that?!” Cameron posted on his Facebook page.

His has encouraged his Facebook friends and family to share his post about the Facebook ban — on Facebook. So far his post has been shared more than 200,000 times.

There has been no official response from Facebook.
