Richmond field hockey player Rebecca Barry’s incredible goal against Temple has been nominated for the ESPYS Best Play of the Year.

Barry’s goal was a Top Play on ESPN’s SportsCenter in the fall and was picked as one of the top-16 plays of the year by ESPN. The winner will be picked by bracket-style voting, which opened today.

The goal is seeded 15th, matched-up against Khalil Edney's Buzzer Beater. The field will be cut down to eight on July 8th and then down to four on July 15th, with the voting closing when the 2013 ESPYS air live at 9 p.m. ET on July 17th at the Nokia Theater with host Jon Hamm.
