CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WTVR) -- Chesterfield police are investigating a homicide early Thursday morning.

The quiet neighborhood of Bristol Village is a tidy collection of three-story town homes in Charter Colony where neighbors feel safe, but their sense of security was shattered early Thursday.

Captain Chris Hensley with Chesterfield police told CBS 6 News that the incident happened around 4:00 a.m. outside the 600 block of Bristol Village Drive

Police responded to a call for shots fired and upon arrival found Abdelmagied Elsayed Hussein  dead from an apparent gunshot wound in the parking lot.

Authorities also said it appears the victim's car was stolen and recovered at Byrd Park in Richmond; the car was apparently burned.

They are continuing the investigation and police are canvassing the area.

Residents of Bristol Village said several police officers actually live there, giving the complex a certain sense of security.  No one could recall any incident of this nature occurring at Bristol Village in recent memory.

According to Investigators police are looking for possibly up to three suspects linked to the bloody crime.

Anyone with information that could aid police in their investigation is asked to call Chesterfield Crime Solvers or the non-emergency police number.
