RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) -- Thousands of people in our area were left without power Saturday night.
A representative from Dominion Power tells CBS 6 News that a broken cross arm is the reason for electricity going out in the 4600 block of West Broad Street.
Some of the businesses affected were places like the Cookout. Employees said they turned customers away because they were unable to carry out their operations.
"It's not really cool. You know, we're hot. We're ready to go to work and sell these good people and make some money," one Cookout employee said. "In the meanwhile, we're waiting for Dominion Power to do what they do so we can get back to doing what we do."
A Dominion representative said there were just 100 customers out of power around 9 p.m. He added they expect everything to be restored just before midnight.
