CAROLINE COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – A judge sentenced 67-year-old licensed therapist Scott Henry to 65 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to committing sex crimes against children. Most of the crimes against his seven victims took place inside Henry’s Caroline County Office, prosecutors said.
The judge suspended 52 years of the sentence, meaning Scott would serve 13 years in prison. Caroline County Commonwealth’s Attorney Tony Spencer said due to Scott’s age and health conditions, Scott would likely die behind bars.
As part of a plea agreement, Henry pleaded guilty to four of the 22 charges he faced. Those charges included two counts of sexual abuse of a child under 13, one count of exposing himself to a child and one count of sexual abuse of a physically or mentally incapacitated child.
“Like a wolf in sheep’s clothing,” victim’s family member Brad Hawkins said outside of court. “He came on like he was a medical person. So I imagine they [his victims] thought it was part of the process. So they did not question him.”
