HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) -- Police released the names of two 22-year-old college students killed in a high-speed crash early Saturday morning on Westham Parkway just north of the Pinetree Road intersection in Henrico's West End.

Police said 22-year-old Warren G. Kraft of Cold Spring Harbor, New York, and 22-ueat-old Michael J. Marks of Ellicott City, Maryland, were ejected from a 2014 Mazda sedan when their car ran off the road and hit a tree.

Both men died at the scene. Investigators said the car was traveling at a high rate of speed prior to the crash.

Brian Eckert, University of Richmond public relations representative confirmed to CBS 6 that Kraft was a student at the college. Eckert said Kraft was taking summer classes and was expected to graduate in August. He also said Kraft had a brother at the university.

Marks was a student at McDaniel College in Maryland, according to a spokesperson for the school.

A third person in the car was able to get help to the scene following the crash.  Police said the third occupant's injuries were serious, but not thought to be life threatening.
