GREENBELT, Md. (NASA) – This GOES animation shows the movement of two low pressure areas from the Great Lakes to the Mid-Atlantic over the course of three days from June 11 to June 13, 2013.

These low pressure areas rode a stalled frontal boundary and brought some strong to severe weather with them from Chicago to the Mid-Atlantic states.

The animation was created by NASA’s GOES Project at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md. using data from the GOES-13 satellite.
