HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) - Workers and passengers were allowed back into Richmond International Airport (RIC) about 9:30 Tuesday morning after police dogs found no threats. The airport was evacuated and search conducted after a phoned-in threat earlier Tuesday.

Passengers at Richmond International Airport (RIC) said they were evacuated around 6:30 a.m. and told to move away from the terminal.
"There was not a sense of panic, it was more of an urgency," evacuated passenger Kimberly Stevens said outside the airport. "The cop came through and said everyone needs to exit the terminal."
A section of the airport's parking garage reopened around 7:55 a.m. That allowed some passengers to return to their cars and leave the airport, CBS 6 reporter Jerrita Patterson said.

For those who could not leave, buses and bottled water were brought in to provide some relief.

"You try not to be frustrated, you know, what's your alternative here," passenger Jim Lovell said. Lovell and his family were planning to fly to Hawaii. "There is a 99 percent chance this is a hoax, but what about the one percent? We don't want anyone to get hurt. The ground personnel is doing a great job."
