RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR)–The Patrick Henry School of Science and Arts will be closed Tuesday so that workers can examine wiring after an electrical odor was detected.
The school, at 3411 Semmes Ave. in South Richmond, is expected to reopen Wednesday.
The board has decided to be extra cautious after an alarm went off at the school Monday.
Although there was no fire in the building Debra Corliss says that when she entered the school there was “a funny smelling electrical odor” in the air. She says because of that they will close the school Tuesday and bring in an electrician.
Tuesday’s roundtable event with Congressman Cantor (R-7th) is being rescheduled.
