Crews respond to two-alarm fire in Western Henrico

HENRICO, VA (WTVR) –Fire crews responded to a two-alarm fire at an apartment complex in western Henrico, around 6:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Fire crews were able to contain the fire to one apartment at the Cambridge Apartment complex and quickly extinguish it said Captain Jim Mellon, with Henrico Fire Department.

The fire was marked under control in less than 30 minutes, Cpt. Mellon said.

The unit upstairs suffered minor smoke damage, but occupants are expected to be able to return tonight. Red Cross is on scene assisting with their needs.

No injuries were reported. Fire investigators are on scene to determine the cause of the blaze.
