‘SNL’s’ Seth Meyers jokes about Suffolk pencil-gun incident

Two 7-year-old boys from Suffolk were suspended from Driver elementary school because they pointed pencils at each other and made gun noises.

One of the boy’s father told media it was a simple role play; Marine versus bad guy.

“When I asked him about it, he said, ‘Well I was being a Marine and the other guy was being a bad guy,’” said father Paul Marshall.

Comedian Seth Meyers made a joke about the incident on “Saturday Night Live” during the Weekend Update segment. Some see it as a tasteless joke, because Myers alluded to the sexual desires of second-graders.
