DINWIDDIE COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) -- A Georgia man is set to appear in a Virginia court for charges of eluding police, felony child endangerment and neglect.
Fifty-year-old Randy Ferrell is in custody at the Meherrin River Regional Jail in Alberta.
Dinwiddie deputies said he was driving the wrong way on Route One on Thursday. After he was pulled over, deputies said he threatened to hurt his 2-year old daughter.
Deputies safely removed the child, but transported her to VCU Medical Center.
Investigators are working to find out why Ferrell was traveling in the wrong lane and why he came to Virginia from Georgia.
