RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) — A University of Richmond baseball player popped the question to his fiance right after Sunday’s game.

A video posted on YouTube shows senior Jacob Mayers propose to his girlfriend on the pitcher’s mound moments after the Spiders’ final home game.

After realizing what’s going on, the bride-to-be drops to her knees, overcome with tears of joy. After a few moments of uncertainty, Mayers’ girlfriend makes it clear that she said yes. With that, the team storms the couple and a gives them a joyous group hug.
