CHESTEFIELD, Va. (WTVR)–Some good news for Chesterfield native Denny Hamlin, the NASCAR driver has received medical clearance to return to the Talladega superspeedway this weekend.
Hamlin missed out on four races including the one here in Richmond – after a nasty wreck in March left him with a lower back injury.
Don't call it a comeback- LL cool J

Hamlin, like many of his fellow NASCAR drivers doesn’t think too much of practice at superspeedways. But because he’s been out of his car for over a month, he admitted to not sleeping much last night in anticipation of Friday’s practice at Talladega.
Hamlin will start Sunday’s race and then get out of the car for Brian Vickers at the first caution.
He will exit the car through a hatch in the roof, which he did twice in just over a minute earlier today.
