NEW ORLEANS, La. (WTVR) – Video of a victim turning the tables on a shotgun-wielding attacker has been released by police in Louisiana.
WWL reportsthat the victim was walking in the 1900 block of Burgundy in New Orleans around 5 a.m. on Saturday when a gunman came up behind him and demanded money.
Instead of handing over the cash, the victim grabbed the would-be robber’s shotgun and chased him away.
However, the incident did not end there. Police said the robber then drove up next to the victim and offered a trade: Give me back my gun in exchange for the cell phone you dropped.
That’s when police said the victim used the shotgun to smash out the thief’s rear windshield.
Police are now trying to identify the gunman who sped off.
