Hopewell police search for masked robber

HOPEWELL, Va. (WTVR) -- Police in Hopewell are looking for the man who robbed a BP gas station late Saturday night.

Officers said it happened in the 800 block of S. 15th Ave. just before 11:45 p.m.

Police said a masked man entered the business, pointed a handgun at workers and ran off on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police said the robber is described as a black male in his late teens to early twenties, betwene 5 feet 9 inches and 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing between 160-170 pounds. The suspect was last spotted wearing a black ski mask, a black baseball cap, a black long-sleeved shirt, dark colored gloves, black pants and light colored sneakers.
