(WTVR) --   Virginia Native and Olympic champion Gabby Douglas is going from Olympic gold to the golden arches.

According to the Virginian-Pilot, Douglas has signed a deal with McDonald's to endorse its new "Egg White Delight McMuffin."

The Gymnast from Virginia Beach was given a hard time from First Lady Michelle Obama when she admitted to eating McDonald's breakfast sandwiches after her Olympic victories in London.

McDonald's says the new breakfast sandwich is part an effort for improved nutrition options. The details of the endorsement have not been released.

This isn't the first time Douglas has been promoting breakfast. She's also been featured on the cover of the Kellogg's Corn Flakes box.

Douglas was part of the United States women's gymnastics team during the 2012 Olympics in London where she won gold in both individual and team competition.
