Authorities are currently investigating the threat, which was written in marker in the boy’s restroom and claims that everyone will die on Monday, said Lt. Tim Hixenbaugh with the King William Sheriff’s Office.

School Resource Officers are also investigating, Dr. Mark Jones, Superintendent of King William Public Schools, said.  He also said that there will be an increased officer presence at the school in the coming days, including Monday.

Jones added that the school is actively seeking the person responsible and they will follow the state code of conduct when seeking disciplinary action against the person responsible, which could be as severe as expulsion.

He said a parental notification recorded message would be sent to parents Thursday afternoon.
