(WTVR) – “The Young and the Restless” star Jeanne Cooper’s health is improving, according to her son actor Corbin Bernsen.
Bernsen tweeted Tuesday that his mom’s breathing tube was removed and that prayers are helping her heal.

Cooper, 84, has been hospitalized for more than a week in Los Angeles. CBS LosAngeles reported the actress, who has played Katherine Chancellor on television since the early 1970’s, was in critical condition.
On April 12, Bernsen tweeted he needed prayers for his mom.
need some prayers for my mom tonight. Not doing great. I don't believe it is the end of her journey, but still a very uphill battle.

The next day Bersen tweeted he was “blown away” by the compassion he received via Twitter.

According to her online bio,Cooper was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Daytime Emmy Awards in 2004. The bio indicates Cooper has three children and eight grandchildren.
