FREE CONCERT: Henrico Concert Band Presents a free all-ages concert, “Let’s Go to the Movies”. In honor of the 75th anniversary of Henrico Theatre, the band will feature your favorite movie themes. FREE DOCUMENTARY EVENT: A free screening and Richmond premiere of the documentary, SERVICE: WHEN WOMEN COME MARCHING HOME on Tuesday, April 23rd at Virginia Commonwealth University. Sponsored by Disabled American Veterans, the screening will be followed by a Q & A with the filmmaker and with the subject of the film, Sue Downes. The 6:30p.m. screening is in the VCU Commons Theater.
FREE ADMISSION: Henrico Public Library and Henrico Schools presents best-selling author and Virginian Adriana Trigiani on April 24th at 7p.m. at Glen Allen High School 10700 Staples Mill Rd. FREE CONCERT: The American Youth Harp Ensemble, the Virginia Choristers and the Parish Choirs of St. Bridget Church in concert Friday, April 19th, 7p.m. at St. Bridget Catholic Church. This will be a free concert with donations accepted at the door. Funds raised at this concert will help to defer expenses as these groups travel to NYC on April 27th to make their Lincoln Center debut.

Don’t miss the new exhibit, “The President`s Photographer: Fifty Years Inside the Oval Office” . The exhibit features a variety of images of Presidents from Kennedy to Obama. FREE KIDS HAIRCUTS: JC Penney is offering free haircuts to children in Kindergarten-to-6th grade every Sunday.
FREE FOR ACTIVE MILITARY: Free annual passes to America’s National Parks (value $80) are now available to members of the military and their families free of charge. The pass allows entrance to more than 2,000 national parks, wildlife refuges and other public lands. The free pass will be made available for activated members of the National Guard and Reserves but not to military veterans or retirees. Military personnel can get the passes by showing their military I.D at any national park or wildlife refuge that charges an entrance fee.
FREE LESSON: Take a free introductory lesson; ice skating or ice hockey at either SkateNation Plus in Short Pump or Richmond Ice Zone in Midlothian.
